Hiding Places In a Garden
Dear Friends,
My garden is bursting with colorful blooms. Pink Missouri primroses look like graceful wisps of clouds flowing throughout the garden. Heirloom roses tumble over the fence spilling sweet perfume in the warm breeze. All the plants welcome tiny animals to come for meals. They find nesting places in shady hideaways.
The other day I came out the back door and a new little bunny hopped into a hiding place. He found safety beneath the boxwood branches.
Last night I watched an excellent film called "Run, Boy Run". It is based on a true story of a young Polish Jewish boy during the Holocaust. Movies and books like this help us to realize how fragile life is. People often question the goodness of God when they see or experience tragic events.
At times we become desperate to find a safe place. The safest place to be is in the hiding place that He provides for us when we turn to Him. He is always our rock and our fortress.
Psalms 18:19
"He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because he delights in me."
Job 11:18
"Having hope will give you courage. You will be protected and will rest in safety."
Jeremiah 29:13
"If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me."
